El Valle in December
I love strolling around El Valle de Rodalquilar in winter. The December light is so sharp and the low winter sun casts interesting shadows. I always seem to find a new composition and the landscape looks different every day. This afternoon I picked out this old ruined cortijo and I liked the old, wind blown olive tree and crumbling walls and stones. In the middle ground there is the 15th Century Castillo de Rodalquilar and the jagged mountains form an impressive backdrop.
